Return to 2020 MoCo RBI Registration

Now Registering DMV Prospects for Future MLB Showcases

Major League Baseball (MLB) is now identifying elite-level prospects for top showcases hosted by pro scouts.

When baseball returns, MoCo RBI will host the new Phenom Identification Series, an invitation-based prospect identification vehicle designed to provide local amateur ballplayers with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to showcase their talent directly for pro scouts. Players invited to the Phenom Identification Series will participate in pro-style workouts and competitive games within an official MLB youth baseball league. Each candidate will also be evaluated based on Major League standards for speed (60-yard dash), hitting, power, base running, fielding, and throwing.

Amateur baseball players that wish to showcase their skills directly for MLB scouts while receiving instruction from former MLB players are encouraged to register on this platform. Candidates must be Class of 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.

COLLEGE COMMITS - if you have already committed to a college or university, then we especially invite you to register with MoCo RBI as a Phenom Identification Series prospect so that pro scouts can better track your progression henceforth.

About MoCo RBI

MoCo RBI is a certified Major League Baseball RBI youth program affiliate that specializes in the highest quality prospect identification of elite amateur players throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern USA. MoCo RBI provides prospects with unique opportunities to showcase their abilities directly for pro scouts and MLB teams.

More than 200 participants of the Major League Baseball RBI program have been drafted by MLB teams, while numerous others have received scholarships to play college baseball. Notable alumni include Manny Machado, Justin Upton, Carl Crawford, CC Sabathia, and Hunter Greene, the 2nd overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft.

Through RBI programs such as ours, MLB is increasing the number of talented prospects prepared to play in college and professionally.

Prospect ID is Key

Being identified is a must for any player that dreams of someday hearing their name called in the MLB Draft.

Even if you have already committed to play D1, D2, or D3 college baseball, this is a golden opportunity for top local prospects to boost their draft stock by increasing their exposure to MLB teams and pro scouts.

Parents of prospects that wish to be identified by Major League Baseball may now register their child through this online platform.

Prospects must be registered in this database in order to be eligible for pro-style workouts sponsored by MoCo RBI.

The Cost is FREE!!!

Registration is free of charge for players that sign up through this online platform thanks to the support of Major League Baseball and the 2019 World Series Champion Washington Nationals.

Players must be registered by a parent or guardian at the blue link above.

What Do I Receive for Registering?

MoCo RBI will conduct an initial review of each player to assess their candidacy for premier invitation-only MLB showcases.

Top candidates will be considered for selection to premier national showcases.
