The MoCo Nationals All-America Scout Team provides top amateur baseball players nationwide with unique opportunities to showcase their abilities directly for pro scouts. This team is especially designed for elite players that are serious about their development and eager to play at the next level.

As an MLB affiliated youth development program that is a Team UP partner of the 2019 World Series Champion Washington Nationals, our purpose is to identify exceptionally talented scholar-athletes that dream of playing at the next-level either collegiately or in the pros. MoCo Nationals players receive significantly more exposure to pro scouts and DI-DII-DIII college recruiters than travel baseball can provide.

ELIGIBILITY 

Players ages 13-18 are eligible for the 2021 MoCo Nationals All-America Scout Team, but must have been born after May 1, 2002.

SELECTION PROCESS and CRITERIA

For the 2021 season, the MoCo Nationals All-America Scout Team rosters will feature up to forty (40) elite-level players ages 13-18 selected by the MoCo Nationals General Manager.

Candidates are graded based on the 20-80 scouting scale utilized by MLB scouts and the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau. Position players are evaluated in accordance with Major League standards for speed (60-yard dash), hitting, power, fielding, throwing. Pitchers will be asked to throw bullpen sessions where each pitch in their arsenal is graded on velocity, command, and effectiveness. Additionally, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, the MoCo Nationals Scouting Department conducts in-house metrics and analysis.

PRO-STYLE DEVELOPMENT

The MoCo Nationals All-America Scout Team is an invitation-only prospect program designed to better prepare elite scholar-athletes for the next level by prioritizing pro-style development, technical mastery, and the proper execution of fundamental baseball skills. Participants will engage in pro-style workouts, competitive games, and controlled intrasquad/intersquad scrimmages while receiving superior instruction for hitting, fielding, pitching, and baserunning.

Our 2021 Spring/Summer activities will be held at locations in Washington, D.C., the Atlanta Metro region, and Central East Florida.

TOURNAMENTS

The MoCo Nationals All-America Scout Team plans to enter a variety of MLB sponsored tournaments during the 2021 calendar year as a means for the pro scouts and college recruiters in our network to better evaluate our players in highly competitive environments.
