The MoCo RBI Satchel Paige Scout Team is a free fundamental baseball development program for local scholar-athletes ages 13-18. This new joint youth baseball venture between the Montgomery County (MoCo) RBI program and Takoma Academy is designed to:

• increase participation and interest in baseball among youth in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia,
• promote greater inclusion of youth with diverse backgrounds into baseball,
• better prepare scholar-athletes for a future in collegiate baseball,
• encourage academic achievement,
• reinforce the value of teamwork.

To prepare for the upcoming 2020 season, members of the Takoma Academy baseball team will converge on the practice field with scholar-athletes from the MoCo RBI Satchel Paige 18U All-Star Team for activities that cultivate leadership skills, camaraderie, community stewardship, and good sportsmanship.

Practices will be held at Takoma Academy, 8120 Carroll Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912 unless otherwise stated.

Winter workouts are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 until 6 PM.

Beginning March 2020, Spring training sessions will occur Monday through Thursday from 4:30 until 6 PM.

Information regarding Summer activities will be made available at a later date.

Practices will include baseball skills clinics, strength and conditioning training, as well as scrimmages.
