MoCo Nike RBI Pipeline Baseball/Softball
The MoCo Nike RBI Pipeline is our FREE and easy to use online registration portal for those interested in MoCo Nike RBI membership. Primary objectives of the MoCo Nike RBI Pipeline include:
1. identifying promising youth baseball/softball players that have projectable talent and tools,
2. eliminating financial barriers by offering affordable options to all families, regardless of household income or socioeconomic status,
3. fostering a more inclusive baseball experience, especially for players of diverse backgrounds, and
4. increasing awareness of the Washington Nationals community engagement efforts.
The MoCo Nike RBI Pipeline also provides a baseline evaluatory platform for advanced-level candidates seeking premium opportunities such as our Washington Nationals sponsored scout teams.
Historically, eligible members of the MoCo Nike RBI Pipeline have received access to:
- Major League Baseball (MLB) Nike RBI sanctioned league play, as well as regional and world championship tournaments,
- select Washington Nationals home games,
- baseball/softball clinics at Nationals Park,
- opportunities to meet Washington Nationals players and coaches,
- special events hosted year-round by the Washington Nationals,
- MLB skills competitions,
- MLB baseball and softball development programming,
- the MLB PlayBall initiative,
- premier identification showcases hosted by pro scouts,
- developmental camps followed by instructors having MLB experience.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The MoCo Nike RBI Pipeline welcomes scholar-athletes from all fifty (50) U.S. states, the District of Columbia, as well as Canada. Candidates (ages 5-18) are eligible to join the MoCo Nike RBI program if they still have not reached their 19th birthday by May 1, 2025. Please be advised that registration with the MoCo Nike RBI Pipeline does not guarantee participation in any MoCo Nike RBI activity.
BACKGROUND
MoCo Nike RBI is the first-ever certified Major League Baseball (MLB) Nike RBI program affiliate for Montgomery County, Maryland. Originally founded in 2016 by Four Seam Sports, Inc., MoCo Nike RBI advances grassroots MLB youth development initiatives by:
- increasing baseball/softball participation and interest within underrepresented communities,
- providing programmatic opportunities for all skill levels,
- encouraging academic achievement and the pursuit of continued education,
- teaching the value of teamwork and other life skills,
- ensuring that scholar-athletes are better prepared to play collegiately and professionally,
- cultivating Major League Citizens.
Since 2017, we have proudly served as corporate partners of the Washington Nationals MLB Club and the Nationals Youth Academy. During this time, MoCo Nike RBI has grown exponentially into a globally-recognized boutique program serving youth all over America.
Thus far, MoCo Nike RBI has produced 5 MLB Draft picks and 99 college commits, with 56 receiving NCAA Division-I athletic scholarships, including the 2020 Jennie Finch Empowerment Award winner (Cheyenne DeGross — George Mason) presented by Arm and Hammer. Furthermore, dozens of MoCo Nike RBI registrants have been selected for premier exposure events such as the Area Code Games, Breakthrough Series, DREAM Series, East Coast Pro, Elite Development Invitational Softball, Hank Aaron Invitational, USA Baseball NTIS, USA Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline (PDP) League, and USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP).
